i’m not mushy, but this really touches me, being a dog owner myself.

i remember our mutt Tekla. i helped her give birth to five adorable pups. she was very protective of her pups, yet she trusted me whenever i touched or tended to them. she died a few weeks afterwards due to some complications. at least, every one of her pups found a loving home, the eldest currently staying with us.
